Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Narendra Sorathiya ("Developer", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Pill Buddy mobile application (Package ID: com.encodework.pillbuddy).

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or any account credentials
• Medication names, dosages, or schedules you enter in the app
• Dose history or appointment records
• Location data
• Contact information
• Payment or financial information beyond what the app store processes

Pill Buddy does not require you to create an account or sign in.

Data Stored on Your Device

All data you enter — medications, reminders, dose history, appointments, and app settings — is stored locally on your device using standard device storage. This data:

• Never leaves your device to our servers
• Is deleted when you uninstall the app
• Is not backed up to any cloud service by us

Notifications

Pill Buddy uses local notifications to remind you to take your medication and alert you about low stock or upcoming appointments. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers.

You can enable or disable notifications at any time from your device's system settings or within the app's Settings screen.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Pill Buddy offers an optional Premium (Yearly) subscription that unlocks additional features such as unlimited medications, full dose history, follow-up reminders, and custom notification sounds.

Regarding payments and subscriptions:

• All purchases are processed securely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment details.
• Subscription pricing is displayed on the Plans & Pricing screen within the app before any purchase is made.
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings.
• Cancelling a subscription does not provide a refund for the current billing period. Refund requests are handled by the respective app store.
• Subscription status is verified locally on your device using the purchase token provided by the app store.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

Pill Buddy uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, services provided by Google LLC, to help us understand how the app is used and to diagnose technical issues.

These services may collect:

• Anonymous usage events (e.g., screens viewed, features used)
• Crash reports and error logs
• Device type, operating system version, and app version

This data is anonymised and does not include any health or personal information you enter in the app. It is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of analytics collection through your device's Google account settings or by adjusting the ad personalisation settings on your device.

Third-Party Services

The app integrates the following third-party SDKs, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Firebase Core, Analytics & Crashlytics – Google LLC (Privacy Policy)
• Google Play Billing – Google LLC (Privacy Policy)
• Apple StoreKit – Apple Inc. (Privacy Policy)

We do not integrate any advertising SDKs or sell data to advertisers.

Children's Privacy

Pill Buddy is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Data Security

Since your health data never leaves your device, the security of your information depends on your device's own security settings (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We encourage you to use a secure screen lock and keep your device's operating system up to date.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
